Virtual Bookkeeping

This was a well-rounded basic bookkeeping course. Tammy did a great job breaking it all down. I'm definitely more knowledgeable about how to offer it as a service and have a better idea as to what a day in the life might be like should virtual bookkeeping be a service I decide to add to my repertoire.

Well thought out and covered all the key points. Although I have been doing bookkeeping in the corporate world for over 25 years I still found value in this course.

Tammy did a fabulous job of laying out the different software options, going over the basics, etc. I have been out of bookkeeping for 20 years, but she gave me the confidence to go forward, realizing I remember more than I thought I did.

Easy to follow. Tammy made Virtual Bookkeeping sound easy to even a 'rookie freelancer'.

I have an Accounting Certificate and have worked as a bookkeeper and accounting clerk so I have an understanding of the topic but there were times that the presenter would ramble and would seem confused by what she was explaining.

Demonstrations of QuickBooks, Freshbooks, and ZohoBooks are somewhat confusing and not very helpful. Probably need specific training provided by the accounting system selected by the client(s).

It is a very comprehensive course that really gave in-depth understanding of what virtual bookkeeping is about. And it doesn't just equip you to be good with the skill, but also goes further to educate you on how to market yourself and price your services as a virtual bookkeeper. I am very happy I took this course and I highly recommend this.

Very good! It is a bit long so be prepared to break up the time slots you allow yourself to take this course. In breaking down the sections it will give you time to research software applications, time for the information to sink in. If you have a bookkeeping background it is a great refresher and most likely you will breeze through quickly. How to marketing, sell your service and social media section at the end really is applicable to any online service business. Tammy does a great job of breaking it all down into sizable chunks with a lots of great tools and references.

When I started this course, I was afraid that I'd once again bitten off more than I could handle and would end up landing on my backside like so many times before. Fortunately for me, I started the course and discovered something amazing. My dream of working for myself isn't out of my reach and I'm no longer as scared as I was of failing yet again. The material was presented in nice, easy to process modules. Even though it covered a whole lot of information, it wasn't too much at once and I found some great resources to help me in the future as well as what I need to get things going forward right now. Thank you for having such wonderful instructors who are not only knowledgeable in their fields, but are capable of presenting their knowledge in straight-forward language without talking "down" to those listening. This is a course I will recommend for any one who is not accounting inclined. I am one of them and I have really learnt a lot which I can use to upgrade my business financially. FreelanceU is just the best!

I loved that she gave an overview of the main pieces of bookkeeping and accounting software so that you know which one best suits the type of business. I also loved how she showed you how to determine your rate to charge for your services.

I had some reservations about offering bookkeeping services, but after taking this course, I feel more confident in my skills. I especially like the idea of creating a freebie from several blog posts. This is a great idea for anyone struggling to come up with a freebie to offer.

This course was very well laid out and broken up into smaller chunks which was critical in keeping it from being too meaty! Loved the content but maybe needs an update on different systems and technology. But most of this can be found on FreeU or in the FB group/workshops. Also I want to add for complete newbies (to accounting)—QBO offers a free account and you can do their ProAdvisor certification for free and once you are done you can list yourself as an Advisor (instant marketing!) yay! This would be critical for someone like myself that doesn’t have any accounting degree. Also loved that a badge is included. Just love the finishing touches that FreeU does. ;)
